Hello and welcome to The Board Economist! My name is Sean Larkin, I am currently a fifth-year economics doctoral candidate studying at Tulane University with an interest in public service, especially at the state level. This is my personal website, the name comes from a blending of two passions: board games and wordplay. I specialize in public finance and policy topics at the state and local level and have a background in applied microeconomics and econometric analysis. I have published in Public Choice. My current research involves questions of consumer responses to taxes and how Opportunity Zones have affected targeted communities. More information can be found in the links to the upper right, and my email can be found below.
Thank you for taking the time to come here, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
